about

Ever since the first guitar string cut into someone’s fingertips. Ever since the first tear fought its way down someone’s cheeks. And ever since the word "hope" was washed out of the lexicon of love, one thing's for certain: The Dark Side Of Love Takes It All! Well, maybe not quite. The second single of Bad Ida, the First Lady of Garage Soul, celebrates the pain and the rage and welds them together into a steaming powerhouse known from the likes of PJ Harvey. "Every time you're gone, I grow in strength. I am not as weak as you may think." As sparse as the sound, as seething is the song - at first rearing up like a pyramid of sorrow, and soon thereafter disappearing into splendid nothingness. That kind of nothingness that is often just the beginning to something grand.

Seit diesen Zeiten ist eines klar: The Dark Side Of Love Takes It All! Nun. "Every time you're gone, I grow in strength. I am not as weak as you may think": karg der Sound, brodelnd die Story.
